* ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – KEY ACTIVES OF THE ROLE
- Have a deep knowledge of the law system and controlling the legal compliance throughout Health, Safety and Environment,
- Ensure compliance with current OSH, and other agencies pertaining to Safety and Environmental issues,
- Develop, implement and manage safety programs and procedures that will reduce frequency and severity of personal injuries. Ensures plant in compliance with all applicable laws,
- Development of New Hire Orientation materials pertaining to environmental and safety,
- Facilitate training for employees in safe work practices for newly hired or refresher training sessions,
- Maintains the scheduling of training and conduct/participate in training sessions,
- Maintains safety files, records and logs,
- Performs safety inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventative measures where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been abated,
- Perform periodic environmental/safety and compliance audits for facility,
- Identify and promptly inform management of compliance issues, safety risk and improvement opportunities through the conduct of daily, weekly and monthly audits,
- Provides oversight and quality assurance for all incident reporting data and reporting,
- Assist in the development, annual reviews and upgrading of existing safety programs,
- Conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions. Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomic considerations.
- Qualifications and Education Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or related field required or equivalent.

Requerimiento de trabajo

- Minimum 5 years of relevant production experience required (Apparel preferred).
- At least 3 years of Manager experience required.
- Must have a basic knowledge of regulatory requirements of Safety and Health Laws.
- Experienced in emergency response and able to maintain current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job functions of a management role.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural work environment.
- Ability to work with multiple departments and prioritize activities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issue.
- Ability to write reports, internal procedures, performance reviews, training programs and presentations.
