Job description

* Position Objective
- The Director of the Canada - Vietnam Language Centre (hereinafter referred to as ’CVC’) in Lao Cai is responsible for operating the organization, apparatus, coordination, implementation of the teaching foreign language program and international English certification exam preparation courses (IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, CEFR,...), responsible for the strategy, business plan and budget for the Centre, monitoring and directing the courses offered, ensuring compliance with all approved goals and targets.
* Responsibilities
- Responsible for all activities of CVC. The Director will participate in and supervise the operations and learning programs to maintain the highest standards, plan, organize, perform monitoring and evaluation of the performance of the duties of the Company.
- Supervising all activities of departments including human resources, administration, finance, accounting, academics, enrollment at the Centre. Managing teachers, officials, employees and students of the Centre according to regulations.
- Coordinate with the Academic Manager to manage the work related to Teachers and Academics at the Centre.
- Counseling, resolving complaints of students and parents. To decide or propose the commendation and signing of laws for officials, teachers, employees and students within the scope of their decentralized management authority.
- Proposing and directing the implementation of strategic plans of the departments based on annual KPIs. Organization selects or develops, compiles, evaluates and promulgates teaching programs and materials, meeting the needs of learners.
- Manage the Centre’s finances and assets according to the regulations of the competent authorities.
* Management of the Academic Department:
- Controlling the work of the Academic department, ensuring that the professional requirements of students and teachers are met.
- Reviewing and compiling written/email notices prior to sending to students, parents/guardians.
- Ensuring the efficient and scientific storage of students’ records and documents.
* Management of Admissions Department (Customer Care):
- Directing the student enrollment. Regularly performing activities to evaluate the quality of customer care services and training, developing professional skills for employees at the Centre.
- Receiving parents’ complaints, coordinating with relevant departments to solve thoroughly.
- Actively building communication systems and communication channels with students and parents to effectively support the Centre’s activities.
* Financial management:
- Developing annual operating budget and business budget of the Centre in line with the strategy of ’CVC’ in order to meet the Company’s overall goals and submit it to the Board of Directors for approval.
- Managing revenue and expenditure plans at the Centre
* Business management
- Directing communication, image promotion and marketing for the Centre. Develop annual recruitment and marketing plan.
- To Evaluate and identify business goals, business strategies and new business opportunities to drive the Centre’s growth rate in current and future markets.
* HRM
- Building a salary scale and KPI evaluation system for employees and teachers of the Center on the basis of ensuring fairness, transparency, accuracy and efficiency.
- Interviewing, recruiting candidates, training, building development team for all positions according to standards and structure approved by the Board of Directors.
- Monitoring cultural and social activities in the Company to coordinate organization and support.
* Academic Management
- Through the Academic Manager, be responsible for teacher performance and the delivery of foreign language courses, undertakes work regarding any necessary changes to ensure that all instruction is performed to the highest standards.
- Ensuring that the teaching work at the institutions is carried out stably and throughout according to the plan;
- To liaise with schools, departments, departments, and agencies in the area and neighboring localities, about the provision of foreign language courses and programs.
* Working Conditions
- The Director will work closely with all departments. Proactivity, results drivens, solving problems and cooperative skills are the essentials for this role.
* Terms of Employment
- Working hours schedule base on the centre operation hours ensuring 44 hours/ per week, day off is coincided with weekends.
* Location: Canada - Vietnam Language Center (No. 04, Le Quy Don, Coc Leu Ward, Lao Cai City, Lao Cai Province)

Job requirement

- Experience in the position of Director or Manager of English Language Centers is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Economics, Business or related fields..
- An internationally recognized certificate in English language teaching; Postgraduate ELT / TESL certificate, such as Cambridge DELTA, Cambridge IDLTM or Master’s degree in ELT / TESL,... is an advantage
* Abilities/ Skills
- Academic experience at a prestigious institution is an advantage
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; Communication, good complex problem solving, project management, planning, …etc.
- Enthusiasm, energy;
- Ability to lead and inspire;
- Commitment to quality, efficiency and integrity.
- Open for Vietnamese only.
